Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Airfryer AF300UK (Amazon’s biggest-selling air fryer)

The 7.6L Ninja Foodi Dual Zone has been the biggest-selling air fryer on Amazon UK for most of 2023, it’s great for families and the two-drawer set-up gives it lots of versatility, but what is it actually like to use and is it a good purchase for someone buying their first air fryer?

I purchased the AF300 and used it for several weeks before putting together the YouTube review which you can find below.

Main highlights of the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone air fryer

It’s fast

Like all air fryers, the Ninja cooks quickly, which makes it brilliant for busy families rushing to feed different children on different schedules

Energy saving

By heating up a drawer rather than a conventional oven you are saving energy and money

Two-drawer flexibility

The two drawers can be heated to different temperatures for different durations, you can also use the ‘Sync’ function so that both drawers finish cooking at exactly the same time, or set both drawers up for identical times and temperatures by using the ‘Match’ function.

Easy to clean

The drawers and the plates inside them have a non-stick coating and can go in the dishwasher. They clean up easily, but one tip if you have more stubborn dirt is to fill the drawers with water, add a little washing up liquid and stick the drawer in the air fryer to “cook” for 10 minutes.

The heating elements are above the drawers and will need a deep clean every few months, the best option is baking soda paste applied with a toothbrush or cloth.

Is the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone good for a beginner?

There’s a lot of mystic that has built up around air fryers which makes some people believe that they need to learn a. whole new way of cooking and go out and buy a load of new cookery books, this simply isn’t the case!

Air fryers are essentially small ovens and yes, you do need to add a spray of oil to almost everything you cook in them for best results, but it’s also really hard to get anything wrong in them.

The Ninja Foodi Dual Zone has six different settings which are Air Fry, Max Crisp, Roast, Bake, Reheat & Dehydrate. With the exception of the dehydrate function which is a long slow cook, all the others are quite similar, I played around and experimented with the different functions and had no disasters! You’ll find what works best for you with a little guidance from the manual and some common sense!

My favourite thing to cook in my Ninja air fryer

Because it doesn’t require pre-heating and cooks faster, frozen pastries like Pain Au Chocolat cook in half the time which is brilliant for weekend breakfasts!
